James Pratt Gray

Father to a single son, Thorne Barr Gray.  The name 'Thorne' was taken from his Grandmother's maiden name : Amanda P. Thorne.

Appears in the Phillips Exeter Alumni.

Believed to have lived in California latterly.  His wife Margaret was in contact with Ann Brennan in 1998 in reference to the letter from James Gray (Founder) to Hugh Gray.

The James Pratt Gray, 1927, Periodicals Fund was established by Margaret Jones Gray through her estate.

James Gray was a journalist and wrote for the Sacramento Bee in the 1970's and 1980's after his retirement.
